Holiday Inn Express & Suites Houston NW - Hwy 290 Cypress by IHG

I stayed at holiday inn a couple of weeks ago and it was an amazing visit. I was visiting a friend and I was a wreck when I got there. My card wouldn't work (a defective card come to find out) but through it all Vanessa was patient with me while I figured things out. She was extremely helpful. And all with a genuine smile on her face. Once I got settled in she even checked to make sure that everything was good for me. She helped my stay be a fantastic home away from home. She wasn't just like that with me but another guest was coming through while I was going out and she treated that person with the same warmth and kindness. Showing sincere interest in them! The place was emaculate and Vanessa was wonderful. I will be staying here again!

Staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and the breakfast was very good. Our only issue was the water pressure on the 4th floor was very weak. We also had a clogged bathtub which was addressed as soon as we used the shower. I would have given it 5 stars for one of the best Holiday Inn Expresses I’ve stayed at with the exception of that poor water pressure.

My stay at this hotel was excellent. Everything was clean, well-organized, and comfortable, making for a great experience from start to finish. The rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was very welcoming. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast, which was absolutely perfect. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and offered a great variety of options to start the day right. A special shoutout to Ana, who provided outstanding service. She was kind, attentive, and made sure everyone felt welcome and taken care of. Her excellent attitude and dedication truly made a difference in the experience. Overall, everything was top-notch, but the breakfast and Ana’s exceptional service stood out the most. I would definitely stay here again!

Storm came through the evening that I checked in. Lost power around 6:30 pm and it never returned. Thankfully it wasn't hot so I got a really good nights sleep and due to no power there wasn't breakfast available. None of this was the fault of the hotel or staff and they were amazing. My room was great and one of the best beds that I have had in hotels. I highly recommend and will stay again if back in the area.

Good hotel with comfortable beds and desk/area for working. Only drawback was the very loud AC unit that could not be fully turned off (fan running continuously). Also way above average breakfast provided free.

Great location with nice shared outdoor spaces. Breakfast offered plenty of good options, and everyone was welcoming.

The front desk staff was awesome, great breakfast and a great area to go shopping. The only thing was that the ac sounded like a freight train

Good news first and foremost, the hotel has very clean guest rooms, and the breakfast has the Oikos triple zero yogurt containers which are my favorite, so extra brownie points for the Oikos, on the flip side as far as first impressions go, the lady at the front desk at 2:00 am on 7-13-2025 was not very nice when I asked her to give me some sheets, pillows, and blankets, she said that she can give me the sheets and blankets but no pillows because they were being “washed” or laundered at that time, i am not trying to say that I don’t understand the bedding being laundered at that time because I do, but on top of that not handling the request in a proper and reasonable fashion is worse for business than simply being unable to accommodate the customers request as in the way you speak to the customer when you are legitimately unable to accommodate them also counts, in all the gloom and the misery however Ms. Johnson, deserves recognition for the fact that she also encountered the same roadblock but the way she handled it, showed that she cared about the guests concerns, and also we were coming back late at night during our stay and she saw us approaching the hotel entrance and was very nice and sweet enough to let us into the hotel before we even reached for the room key in our pockets, you can even tell by here demeanor that she is a very awesome front desk agent as she also handled my request for a packet of toothpaste very politely when I came down to request it from her! Ms. Johnson if you are reading this review, I hope you are feeling very proud of your hard work and dedication to the hospitality industry, because I am the same man that asked for your name and then promised to mention you as an awesome employee of holiday inn express when I type out my review, today is the day I honor my promise to you!
